is cheaper than a wrapped
stick, hence the popularity and
extra profits of a machine that
gives one ball for the first cent,
two balls for the second and
three for the third, then re
peating.

ers of the latest types add for
tune telling or height-measuring
features in competition with the
“ plain” styles.
The “ mean man,” said that
these machines are paying big
dividends because women are
watching their weight closely,
