will give a trophy fo r the best machine of any kind shown fo r the
first time at the convention. The choice will be made through a
poll taken at the convention from among the operators present.
It would have been hard to have made a decision of the best
machine during the N ew York convention. A s they say, a good
little man can never lick a good heavy man, and for that reason
the Chester-Pollard Football machine m ight be given .the trophy
ju st because it was a large machine. However, an equally clever
machine was the Alb Race Horse ball gum machine. These two
machines really created a sensation.
The ten-cent photograph
machine was shown one day during the convention, but that ma­
chine has hardly been worked out on as practical a basis as the
other two machines.
