section an offer o f a counting device
for coin operated machines. Such
a device keeps a count on the num­
ber o f operations and affords the
operator an accurate check on his
earnings.
The distributors o f this
countmg machine have an announce­
ment 1o make in a forthcom ing issue
o f importance to operators, which is
a weli-known machine that they arn
now arranging to take over.
Thomas C. Dickinson, 1370 Atchin-
son avenue, Whiting, Ind., who is a
successful piano opex'ator was a visi­
tor to the offices o f TH E A U T O ­
M ATIC AGE just as we wei*e going
to press. Mr. Dickinson has some
interesting observations from the
viewpoint o f the operator, and he
says he is going to enlarge his activ­
ities during the next few months.
Charles Wiessman, o f Wisconsin,
was a late visitor to the office o f
TH E
A U T O M A T IC
AGE.
Mr.
Wiessman has a very interesting tool
for vending machine operators. This
is a screw driver that holds the screw
•so that operators hands are free to
work. He says that as an operator
himself the automatic screw driver io
a big think in his business. Mr.
Wiessman will announce this handy
instrument in early issue o f TH E
A U T O M A TIC A GE, as he says he
has had numerous calls fo r this tooi.
M. Lancilotti, was a recent visitor
and displayed a keen interest in sand­
wich and pie vending machines. Mr.
Lancilotti also brought in his sub­
scription.

R. N. Rogers, patentee o f many
devices on addressing machines and
an inventor and farm er business man
braved the rain the day follow ing
Labor Day and brought in his sub­
scription. Mr. Rogers has some plans
on foot, which when perfected will
give the vending machine field a new
line o f machines with a new product.
He says it is a great business.
Anthony F. Bertsche, operator o f
peanut and gum venders brings in his
subscription and says he is interested
in new leads fo r chewing gum, and
that A U T O M A T IC AGE advertisers
would just fill his requirements.
J. W. McClain brought in his sub­
scription and gave us an interesting
visit discussing his routes. He was
looking fo r new chewing gum leads,
particularly stick gum. Mr. McClain
is a live operator.
Frank J. Srock, an old operator,
who has been out o f the game fo r
some time, visited the offices o f TH E
A U T O M A T IC AGE the other day
and told us he is buying a bunch o f
machines and going to open up a
route again. He says he wants T H E
A U T O M A T IC AGE to come to him
regularly.
H. L. Brown, an extensive operator
in suburban Chicago, with headquar­
ters in La Grange, 111., was a recent
visitor to the offices o f TH E A U T O ­
M ATIC AGE.
