W e Did Not
Get a Chance
,
to call on any where near the m ajority of
manufacturers and jobbers in the trade. I f we had this issue
would have been an inch thick. But we found that some wanted
to see just what kind o f magazine we would get out. So we
thought we would begin publication and then finish calling on the
trade.
It is our idea to improve the publication as we go along. Our
experience is that information flows into a magazine like water
runs down hill. W e appreciate the advertising response that has
already been given us; and we feel that everybody who makes
money out of the vending machine business will feel that he owes
it to himself to put something back into it, and help support a
good paper for the trade.
W e believe it is only a question of a short time until every con
cern in the industry will be represented in this paper by either a
large or small space. W e believe our advertisers will get good
direct results because we think we have accumulated during the
past year o f preparation and investigation one of the best lists of
vending machine prospects in existence, and augmenting this list
are several that our good friends have offered to send sample copies
to feeling that a good trade paper would keep them enthused and
pepped up for better service.
A Well Wisher
Yesterday we signed for advertising space in the A U T O M A T IC
A G E which you are about to publish.
W e advised your representative, Mr. J. M. Buckley, that there
is a need for a publication of this kind provided that you will
serve the vending machine interest with a motive above that of a
commercial one. In other words, if you can incorporate in your
paper a general purpose to elevate the morale of the vending ma
chine business, your publication will no doubt meet with success.
