ATARI'S AMOA ATTRACTION
Thousands of people experienced
Atari's best line-up of games ever at the
AMOA in Cl1icago. Airborne Avenger™,
the newest pin ball ga1ne, showed oper-
ators tl1at the Atari innovations in pinball
maximize play action an d the overall
appeal of the game. Canyon Bo1nber™,
Destroyer™ and Sprint 4™ were
selected among the top video games at
tl1e sl1ow, as players enthusiastically
challenged these exciting games.

Among the other games on disp lay were
The Atarians™ and Ti1ne 200QTM
pinballs,together with the new 2 Game
Module™ an d F-1 TM with a new
reinforced canopy. Also sl1own were the
exciting Super Bug and Sprint 2™
driving ga1nes, Starship 1 TM, Break-
out™, an d n1ore.
On Saturday morning Atari distrib-
utors gathere d for tl1e annual breakfast
n1eeting. After tl1e 1norning 1neal,
con1pany executives spoke to the group
abou t Atari's growth an d future product
developn1en t.
That evening a cocktail party in honor
of Atar i's custo1ners was l1eld at The
Whitehall Hotel. Everyone was in good
spirits to celebrate an excell ent show.
Atari pinballs attracted much interest.

ATARI AT NAMA
Atari presented games to vending
operators at the NAMA trade show in
Chicago . "The response was extremely
favorable," reported Frank Ballouz,
National Sales Manager. "Many of tl1e
vending operators who previously did not
operate games indicated a high level of
interest in intro ducing games in their
routes."
Among the products shows at the
NAMA was the Ven ding Kiosk. This is a
concept to inclu de gan1es witl1 a line-up
of vending machines using a wood
paneled enclosure to 1nake an attractive
display and profit center.
Atari's pinball games, Airborne
Avenger™, Time 20QQTM , and The
Atarians™ were a center attraction .
Operators expressed much interest in the
high earning potentials of these games.
The new Destroyer™ video game
together with Super Bug, Starsl1ip l TM,
Breakout™, Triple Hunt II™ and
Sprint 2™ were in continuous play
during the sl1ow. Atari's leadership in the
video game market was evi dent by the
positive response and new interest gener-
ated at the show.
Friday evening Atari l1osted a wine
tasting party for their custo1ners attend-
ing the show. Everyone had an oppor-
tunity to try eigl1t of the best wines from
California, Atari's home, and tl1ere were
plenty of good appetizers to enjoy . The
mood was festive . It was a good
celebration of an excellent show.
